Our Mission
Mission LOVE INDIA exists to transform villages in every state of India by implementing village development projects that will meet the basic human needs of all the people in a village.
Our Goals
1. To train 2,400 Village Development Officers to work in villages in every state in India by 2022.
2. To bring life-changing transformation to 7,200 villages throughout India by 2030.
Our Strategy
Mission LOVE INDIA trains Village Development Officers to lead village projects based on local needs. It partners with experts and organizations to design solutions, secures resources through donors and agencies, and works with villagers to implement and maintain sustainable development.
Problems and Solutions
Mission LOVE INDIA addresses some of the most pressing issues in rural India through targeted, sustainable, and people-driven solutions. Each challenge faced by village communities is met with a clear, collaborative response designed to empower and uplift.
Problem
India holds 18% of the world’s population but only 4% of usable water. Pollution, overuse of groundwater, and poor waste management have led to severe water scarcity and health issues.
Solution
We install wells, water filters, and rainwater harvesting systems, and create farm ponds to retain and replenish groundwater.
Problem
Poor soil health, limited irrigation, outdated tools, and erosion have led to low crop yields and food insecurity in rural India.
Solution
We promote crop rotation, composting, modern irrigation (e.g., drip systems), and mobile automation tools to increase productivity and sustainability.
Problem
Unscientific waste disposal and lack of sanitation have caused pollution, disease spread, and environmental degradation.
Solution
We support waste segregation, recycling, scientific landfills, composting, and waste-to-energy systems.
Problem
Rural India faces widespread disease, high infant mortality, and limited access to clean water, sanitation, and medical services.
Solution
We train community health workers, set up sub-centres, offer health screenings, and provide education, vaccinations, and vector control.
Problem
Millions in rural India live without electricity or have only unreliable access, limiting progress and quality of life.
Solution
We support off-grid solutions like rooftop solar and microgrids to provide reliable, sustainable power.
Problem
Lack of infrastructure and poverty keep millions of children out of school, leading to long-term social and economic challenges.
Solution
We improve teacher training, update curriculums, promote digital learning, and support both child and adult education.
Problem
Poverty, unemployment, lack of financial literacy, and dependence on agriculture keep rural communities economically fragile.
Solution
We promote microfinancing, vocational training, rural entrepreneurship, and financial education to create sustainable livelihoods.
